Hope Linford, 100, passed away January 9, 2018 at a hospital in Pocatello, ID. She was born March 19, 1917 in Cokeville, WY to William C. and Margaret Armitage Banks. On October 26, 1936 she married George Denzel Linford. Her family was the center of Hope's life. She had 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She also offered a second home to many. She enjoyed many trips with George, both fishing and touring, and they bowled together for many years. Hope was a member of the Eagles and the Lady Firemen. Hope was a member of the LDS Church, where she served as Secretary of Primary and Young Women. In later years, she proudly served as leader of the Single Sisters. She is survived by a son, George Dallas (Janie) Linford; and a daughter, Marilyn (Jim) Katsilometes. She is preceded in death by her parents; two infant siblings; three brothers, William, Vern, and Verl Banks; two sisters, Louise Perkins and Ethel Hayes, her husband, George Denzel Linford; and two daughters, Carol Cook and Patricia Wells. A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Services will be Friday, January 19, 2018 at 2 pm also at Colonial Funeral Home with a viewing for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
