Holly Jo Johnston, 32, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 in AZ. She was born on October 15, 1984 in Shawano, Wisconsin. She spent most of her early life working on her grandparents farm. Holly Jo was home schooled through high school and earned her diploma at 17 years old before leaving for the United States Air Force in 2002. On September 10, 2016, in Pocatello, ID, she married the love of her life and soul mate, Jesse Johnston. After serving for three honorable years in the U.S. Air Force, Holly entered into several career fields including plumbing and septic, truck driving, OSHA, the oil industry, Emergency 911 Dispatcher, taxidermy and eventually becoming a full time Rancher with her husband, Jesse, at their JHJ Ranch. She loved spending time on their ranch riding their horses. Holly was also enrolled at ISU as a full time student to become an RN. She and her husband were both disabled Veterans and were active in the local Veteran community participating in rides with Veteran groups and with Veteran counseling and organizations. Holly had a love for the outdoors which led to her talent in Taxidermy. She was a 2016 graduate of the Montana School of Taxidermy. Holly loved to shoot her bow, and she was quite the fisherman; she loved being on the water. She loved riding the Harley with Jesse and going on adventures together. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed having people over. She always made sure no one left hungry. Holly was an outstanding mother to three children that she loved and they adored her very much in return. She had the most overwhelming way of supporting those around her. She protected those she loved and supported their dreams. She always put everyone else and their happiness first and foremost. Our Holly Jo was taken away from us much too soon and we will miss the light she brought to every room she walked into. We will miss her uplifting spirit she shared with everyone she met. She always showed kindness to those who needed it most. Holly is survived by her husband, Jesse Johnston; step-children, Alyssia D. Johnston, Cuyler N. Johnston, Kinley M. Johnston, all of Pocatello, ID; father, Darold D. Raasch, Shawano, WI; father-in-law, Steven M. Johnston, Inkom, ID; mother-in-law, Susan M. Johnston, Pocatello, ID; brothers-in-law, Joshua D.
