Herbert Roy Martin Jr., 50, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014 surrounded by his family at Portneuf Medical Center due to an illness. Herbert was born in Pocatello, ID to Herbert Martin Sr. and Christine Leona Wildcat. He was a lifetime resident of the Fort Hall Indian Reservation, and a member of the Native American Church. He attended Tyhee Elementary School. In his younger years he enjoyed dancing, fishing, drawing, beading/sewing, traveling, and being with family and friends. He is survived by a daughter, Loulonda Martin; brothers, Myron "Munch" Martin, Bryan "Dingy" Martin, Vernon "Bird" Martin, and Olysis Martin; sisters, Byrona Martin, and Tracy T. Martin; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Herbert "Tiny" is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Martin Sr. and Christine Leona Wildcat; brother, Lebyron "Gumps" Martin; paternal grandparents, Pheobe Burton Martin and James Martin; maternal grandparents, Sparks Wildcat and Mary Wildcat. Herbert "Tiny" will be taken to his sister, Tracy Martins, residence located on Cemetery and Philbin Rd. on Monday September 15, 2014 and will remain there until Wednesday, September 17, 2014. He will then be laid to rest in the Cedar Cemetery, in Fort Hall, ID. on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 2 PM. Condolences can be made to the family online at www.colonial-funeralhome.com
