Helen Pearl Bennett, 83, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 in her sleep. She was born on January 25, 1938 in Pocatello, Idaho.
Helen is preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie DeAvila, son-in-law, Efren DeAvila, and grandson, Juan Yanez Junior.
Helen is the mother of Ellen Engel, Vickie Johnson, Debbie DeAvila, Earline Romriell, Richard Putnam, William (Billy) Putnam, and Deanna Jensen. She is the grandmother of 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren. Helen was also known as Grandma B to many Lewis & Clark elementary students.
Most of her work life was in food services. But, the joys in her life were family, football, hunting, fishing, camping, scrapbooking, and participating in the Foster Grandparents Program.
Services will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 10 am at Colonial Chapel, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello.
