Harold Edward Pence passed away peacefully on November 17, 2015 from complications of Dementia.
Harold was born in Kentucky on July 26, 1936. He and parents, Elwood and Beulah, moved to Idaho in 1945. He served and was honorably discharged as a paratrooper from the 101'st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles) of the US Army in 1962. Harold worked for the Union Pacific railroad until his retirement at age 62.
Harold was an avid horseman and loved his horse and chariot racing days. He was a natural at getting the best from the horses he trained for racing. Harold had many lifelong friends that came from all the fun and wonderful people who are involved with racing horses. He also enjoyed many nice cars and trucks in his life, and he always liked them shined up and looking nice.
Harold is survived by 3 sons; Rick Pence, Ross (Terri) Pence, and Bob Pence, his brother; Ron (Susan) Pence, and the mother of his sons; Julleen Steed, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at a causal gathering from 1 to 3 pm on Saturday Nov 21st at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 West Chubbuck Rd. Condolences may be sent to the family online at wilksfuneralhome.com.
