Goldie Anthony

Goldie Elaine Anthony, 73, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009. She was born in Rigby, Idaho on February 1, 1936 the 7th of 8 children to James and Merzie (Lewis) Olson. Goldie married Jay N. Anthony on January 4, 1956 in Idaho Falls, Idaho and have been married for 53 years. They were blessed with two children, Tamara and Troy. Goldie worked in secretarial and booking for area accountant and also at AMI. She also worked for the RL POLK for seven years as a city directory sales person. She was a good Chrisitan. Goldie was very versatile, she could do most anything from upholstery, landscaping, decorating, sewing and all types of crafts. She is survived by her husband, Jay N. Anthony, Inkom, children, Tamara J. (Jeff) Swanson, Boise and Troy J. Anthony, Inkom, three grandchildren, Justin and Chelsie Toland and Ryan Anthony and three step-grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jennifer Swanson and Andrea Kessler. She is also survived by sisters, Doris Smith, Idaho Falls and Virginia Smith, Rigby and a brother, Kent Olson, Ucon. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Merzie Olson, sisters, Joy Colbert and Ruth (Mickey) Clark, brothers, Ross Olson and Dale Tanner.
