Gloria Jean Anderson passed away peacefully in her home on January 30, 2018. A small celebration of life will be held for her on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at her home in Pocatello; 8883 West Trayis Ridge Road.
Gloria was primarily a stay-at-home mother, who enjoyed spending time reading, sewing, shopping and being with her animals. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Gloria was born to Lenora and Eugene Ferguson, January 7, 1944 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was raised in Waterloo, Nebraska and graduated from Waterloo High School in 1962. She married her husband Arlo Anderson on May 11, 1964 in a small private ceremony in Nebraska. Shortly after their marriage, she followed her husband's military deployment to Germany where they lived for a short time before returning to Idaho and settling in Pocatello, where they eventually built their own home. In addition to raising her two children, Gloria attended Idaho State University where she received a degree in Computer Programming.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Arlo. She is survived by her children and spouses; Kevin (Melanie) Anderson and Christa (Alan) Rzeszutko; 4 grandchildren, Gabriella, Jaedon, Malaci and Isabella Anderson; brother, Gary Ferguson and her two beloved dogs Jasper and Petunia.
In honor of her love of animals, the family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made in her name to the Bannock County Humane Society.
