Glenn Douglas McCullough, 67, left this world too soon on February 7, 2025, after some intense medical challenges at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. His passing has left a large void in the lives of so many.
Glenn was born on November 21, 1957, to Charles Dwain McCullough and Clara June Ellis McCullough in Pocatello, Idaho. Glenn was so proud that he still lived in the home he was born in, there were so many fond memories there with his family during Glenn’s entire life.
Glenn attended and graduated from Highland High School. Afterwards, Glenn spent some time studying in the autobody field with Idaho State University. Glenn worked with Glenn Automotive in the auto body department and eventually followed his dad's footsteps by working with Idaho State Transportation as a welder. Glenn loved working with his dad and was even more excited when he was able to retire five years ago.
From a young age, Glenn was deeply involved in the racecar world. He proudly wore #51 his entire life as it was “his pappy’s number.” Hot Rods, car shows, working on and purchasing classic cars, all of these describe what Glenn loved being around. Just recently, Glenn brought home a green 1953 Chevy Tin Woody Wagon that he was so excited about.
Most importantly, Glenn loved his family. He was a single dad for most of his three children’s growing up years and gave his heart and soul to provide a better life for them. They would all ride dirt bikes, go to car shows, and spend a lot of time on at the speedways. Glenn loved riding his 1998 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail named Hogley.
About nine years ago, Glenn was introduced to Catherine “Cathy” Claybaugh by some family during a SLEDS charity ride for children. They took off on an impromptu Harley ride and have been inseparable ever since. Glenn would tenderly call Cathy his miracle. Together, they have two pups, Touille and Chunk who were very important to Glenn.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Dwain and June McCullough.
He is survived by his sweetheart, Cathy Claybaugh; children Jared McCullough, Shaun McCullough, and Whitney Marley; five grandchildren; sister Janelle Olson and brother Steven McCullough; and many nieces and nephews.
