Glen R. Morris

May 17, 1947 — April 6, 2025

Inkom

Glen Roy “Butch” Morris, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, at the age of 77. Born May 17, 1947, in Malad, Idaho, to Orlando and Leora Morris, Glen spent his youth in Arco, Idaho, where his adventurous spirit thrived. He cherished the freedom of roaming the hills, the thrill of hunting and fishing, and the playful persona of a "bloodthirsty pirate," Butte County Pirate that is. He graduated from Arco High School in 1965, embarking on a life filled with diverse experiences and exciting adventures.

Glen’s career path was as varied and spirited as his personality. He was a skilled driver, navigating the roads as a trucker, car transporter, and RV hauler. However, his greatest joy came from driving the school bus for the Marsh Valley School District. By the end of the school year, he proudly stated “I almost got that kid to smile at me.” He loved those kids.

In 1964, Glen married Clariel Jeppsen, and together they welcomed two children, Brian and Geniel. In 2000, he found lasting love again, marrying his best friend and forever sweetheart, Susan. They shared 25 wonderful years together, a bond strengthened further by their temple sealing in 2024.

Glen is survived by his devoted wife, Susan; his sister, Judy (Ron) Watson; his son, Brian Morris; his daughter, Geniel Wilson; his stepson, Rick (Pam) Mortensen; and stepdaughters Janet (Scott) Panter, Brenda (Troy) Hawker, Stacy Hollinger, and Hollie (Mike) Nisson. He leaves behind a legacy of love extended to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with a wide circle of in-laws, out-laws, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orlando and Leora Morris; brothers Gordon, Kenny, RayDell, Ronny; and sisters Jeanette and Lori.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Home Health Nurses and Aids, Monte Vista Care Center, and Portneuf Medical Center for the compassionate care provided to Glen during his later years. He expects his honorary name plaque by the end of the week.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. both at the Inkom LDS Church, 801 Rapid Creek Road in Inkom, Idaho. A graveside service will follow starting at 12:00 p.m. at the Inkom Cemetery.
