Geraldine May Baker Doore, 76, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She was two days shy of her 77 th birthday. She was born on May 16, 1937 in Pocatello, Idaho to Joe Baker and Mary Broncho. She was the eldest of their children. Geraldine has been a nurse at heart, for 52 years. She attended the Indian School of Practical Nursing in Albuquerque, New Mexico, graduating in March, 1961. She was an LPN and licensed in the states of Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, and Utah. She was employed with the Indian Health Services as a CHR field nurse for over 25 years. She retired in 2013. On November 15, 1964, Howard and Geri's love was sealed for time and all eternity at the LDS Temple in Bardston, Alberta Canada. Geraldine loved Gardening, sewing, traveling, attending sundances and, warm dances. She loved going to yard sales. She loved her pets, Cici and Gretta, they were her babies. She was just as nice to people as she was to her pets. She loved putting up camp yearly at the Shoshone Bannock Festival and would like her family to continue on with this tradition. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Geri was a very soft spoken, loving, and caring person who would give you the shirt off her back. She is survived by her husband, Howard Doore; children, Brenda Merrill, Dorene Pongah, Angel Ramos (Alfonso), and Jacob Doore (adopted son); 12 grandchildren, Wynter Doore, Daniel Merrill, Victoria Flores, Racheal Merrill, Alonzo Doore, Howard Sanchez, Casey Ellsworth Jr., Melanie Buckman, Charmayne Dixey, Laine Eldridge, Alonzo Ramos, and Jaedyn Ramos; 10 great-grandchildren, Mady Gutirriez, Lacielle Eldridge, Dominic Flores, Noel Flores, Layla Ellsworth, Cameron Ellsworth, Jagden Ramos, Robert Buckman Jr., D'Mari Buckman, and Natalie Dixey. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Baker, and mother, Mary Broncho. A funeral service will be Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 1 PM at the LDS Fort Hall Branch church, US Highway 91, Fort Hall, Idaho. A viewing will take place at Howard and Geraldine's home, 111 N. Bench Rd., near the corner of Sheepskin and Bench Rd's, Fort Hall, Idaho, from Thursday, May 15, 2014 through Saturday morning, May 17, 2014 and for one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Fort Hall, Idaho. Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID. 208-233-1500.
