George Harold Roach, age 83, passed away at the Whispering Pines Care Center on Sunday, September 28, 2008. George was born on May 28, 1925 in Alliance, Nebraska the son of Ralph Trena (Hoover) Roach. George married RoseMarie McLaughlin on September 13, 1947 in Nampa, Idaho and was widowed on November 24, 1999. His companion for the last 81/2 years has been Connie Marie Howell. He worked at Kaiser in California, and worked for the Rail Road in Nampa. Upon moving to Pocatello he worked for the school district up to his retirement. George and RoseMarie owned and operated GR Plaster Crafts for 40 years, bringing the business from California to Idaho. George and his wife loved to square and round dance. He was very passionate about making his molds for plaster. He was crazy about water sports. Swimming with his children and grand children was his favorite. He also enjoyed the game of Horse Shoes and Darts as well as playing cards. George was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, RoseMarie and a brother Marvin Roach. He is survived by his daughters, Mary Lou Rountree of Las Vegas, NV, and Georgia Roach Ritzert of Missouri; sisters, Norma Schroll and Vera Rowe both of Nampa, Idaho; companion, Connie Marie Howell of Chubbuck, Idaho. Funeral services for George Roach will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 So. Fourth Avenue. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Pocatello Veterans Honor Guard. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 from 6
