Geneve Hatch Dayley

March 25, 1931 — October 18, 2012

On the afternoon of October 18, 2012, at home with her family surrounding her, our dear wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, Geneve Hatch Dayley, 81, left this mortal existence and returned to her Heavenly Father.

Geneve Hatch was born 25 March 1931 to William Marks Hatch and Geneve Pixton, in Blackfoot, Bingham County, Idaho. During her life Geneve lived in Provo, Utah; Boise, Idaho; Arimo, Idaho; Pocatello, Idaho; and Chubbuck, Idaho. She was sealed for time and eternity to her sweetheart, Kent Wright Dayley, on March 19, 1954 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Geneve and Kent have five children, Brent (Andrea) Hatch Dayley of New Zealand; Janese (Robert) Dayley Larson of State College, Pennsylvania; Mark (Susan) Hatch Dayley of Spanish Fork, Utah; Eric (Chrys) Hatch Dayley of Pocatello, Idaho; and Lorraine (Jim) Dayley Jensen of Denver, Colorado. Geneve and Kent have fourteen grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

Geneve graduated from Pocatello High School in 1950 and attended Brigham Young University.

Geneve was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in several callings including " Primary President, Primary Teacher, Stake Primary Secretary, Stake Relief Society Secretary, and most recently a Visiting Teaching Supervisor. Geneve and Kent served an 18 month mission in Adelaide, Australia beginning in 1988. A highlight of their mission was their time spent working with the Aboriginal people and their pet kangaroo, Tea.

Geneve was active in scouting and is a recipient of the Boy Scouts of America's Silver Beaver Award for outstanding service.
