He served three years, 1955-58, at Ft Sheridan, IL as a Construction Machine Operator. He received awards for Marksman (carbine) and the Good Conduct Medal.

In 1961 he married Mary Fuqua. They were later divorced. They had two children. Gary Wayne Fallis Jr (Joy Puckett) was born in 1962. He has one daughter, Ana Elizabeth Rascon, and three grandchildren: Eriana, Angel and Emmanuel. Barbara Fallis was born in 1964. Gary spent his time working as a heavy equipment operator, a mechanic, a welder, and a truck driver. He was an incredible craftsman and could fix anything with a motor. His shed and garage are stuffed to the brim with tools and equipment and yet, he knew exactly what he had and where every tool was located. He was an exceptionally hard worker and did not like to sit still.

The true enjoyment he had in life was camping and fishing. Had a knack for finding the best fishing holes and would venture to the water every chance he got. He also loved the railroad and had miniature train sets and model airplanes.

Gary passed quietly in his home with family by his side, lovingly being cared for by Karan during his dementia and diminishing health.

Gary is Survived by his wife, Karan, his children Wayne and Barbara, his step-children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, two sisters, Delna Tibbitts and Linda Young.

He is Proceeded in death by his siblings Flora Steffler, Ermond Fallis, Donald Fallis, LaFay Chandler, Eileen Osborne, JoAnn Bransen, Dixie Kossmann, and Dewey Fallis, His parents and his step daughter-in-law, Candace.
