Gary Glen Miller

Gary Glenn Miller passed away on May 30th, 2011 due to complications after surgery.Gary was born on June 17th, 1940 in Gooding, Idaho to Glenn and Bessie Miller.He was the third of six children. He was raised in Boise, ID graduating from Boise High School. After graduation he married his high school sweetheart Carolyn Jean Hale. They shared 51 years together.

After welcoming two daughters Tammie and Tracie, Gary was transferred by Albertsons to Pocatello. He managed the Albertson stores in Pocatello for several years until deciding to purchase his own store, The Riverside Market. He owned and operated his store for 13 years. After selling his store Gary worked for K & B Markets, where after several attempts at retirement he continued to work on a part time basis.

Gary will be remembered as a hard worker with very strong work ethics, which he instilled in his children and grandchildren. However, he did find time for hobbies which included: traveling with his wife, fishing, golfing, coin collecting, carving, and his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and his family will greatly miss his many jokes and crazy antics. As a 45 year resident of Pocatello Gary made many acquaintances and friends and was loved by all who knew him.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carolyn, granddaughter Carrie and his brother Melvin. He is survived by two brothers Charlie and Craig, two sisters Anna and Jane; his daughters Tammie (Bryce) Jasperson of Pocatello, Tracie (Rob) Robbins of Boise, his son Kevin Miller of Boise, 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren and
his beloved cat Annie.
