Gary Deane Chapple,73, passed away suddenly on April 13, 2015. He was the first child born to Joseph William Chapple and Theda Marie Phillips on July 14, 1941 in Aberdeen, Idaho. He was the first of eight children. Gary graduated from Aberdeen High school in 1959 then married the love of his life, Sylvia Briggs, on Sept. 18 th , 1959. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 5 th 1976. They had two sons. He enjoyed working and spending time with his father in the commercial fishing industry. In 1971 he moved his family to Pocatello where he worked at FMC until he retired. After retirement he earned his Associate Degree at ISU. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and spending time with his family. He is survived by his sons, Gary Deane (Catrina), and Joe (Cindy) Chapple; grandchildren, Shantel, Sierra, Michael, Thomas, Danika and Joseph Chapple; great-grandchild, Hayley Baisch. He is also survived by his mother, Theda Chapple; brothers, Dennis (Kay) Chapple, Rob (Dixie) Chapple, Lori (Henry)Rupp, Jeanine (Steve) Roberts; brother-in-laws, Don Dance & George Briggs, and sister-in-laws, Maude (Mark) Waddoups, Jane Sanborn and Sharon Briggs and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia; father, Joe; brothers, Phil, and Dale Chapple and his sister, Carla Dance. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11 AM at the LDS Chubbuck 3rd Ward Building, 4773 Independence Ave. Chubbuck, ID 83202 with a viewing for one hour prior to services at the church. A viewing will be Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID 208-233-1500.
