Gary Arthur Thomforde

Gary Arthur Thomforde,78, passed away, Monday, December 11, 2023 at the Idaho State Veterans Home.

Gary was born July 18, 1945 in Red Wing, Minnesota to Arthur and Mabel Olkers Thomforde. Gary graduated from Enumclaw High School in Washington and took some college courses. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1963 until his honorable discharge in 1967.

On December 17, 2002 he married Marjorie Diana Winston in Washington. Together they built a wonderful life together.

Gary was a master craftsman of woodwork. He was extremely talented and carved beautiful wood sculptures including bears.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie Thomforde of Pocatello; son, Kiert Thomforde of Yelm, WA; daughters, Melissa Thomforde, and Stephanie Thomforde both of Penn Valley, PA; sister, Fay Weeks of Enumclaw, WA; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mabel Thomforde.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery- Blackfoot, 2651 Cromwell Ln, Blackfoot, ID 83221.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, December 15, 2023 at  University Bible Church, 4700 N Philbin Road, Chubbuck, Idaho 83202.
