Mr. Dean passed away on Saturday, December 12 in Idaho. He was born on June 19, 1945.
At the age of 18, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he attained the rank of Sergeant. He served in Korea after the Korean War as part of the newly established DMZ. He was awarded the Distinguished Service and Good Conduct Medals and received an Honorable Discharge.
Gale is survived by his four sons (Will, Brandon, Garrett, and Justin) and seven grandchildren (Tyler, Aaron, Taylor, Hunter, Dylan, Ashlyn, and Austin). He was affectionately known to his loved ones as “POPCorn” or “Pops”. His loved ones fondly remember his strong will of character and determination. Whether you were ready for it or not, he would never shy away from giving you his best opinion. At the same time, he had a kind soul and was always there to offer a helping hand or words of advice.
A service honoring his life will be held in Moore, Idaho on December 15, 2021, at 4:15 p.m. at the Moore Stake Center. An informal Visitation with the family will be held just prior to the services from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. A separate service will be held in Virginia Beach at a later time.
Memories and condolences can be shared with the family under the "Tribute Wall" tab above.
