Gail Lorraine Perry-Wilson passed at the age of 75 on January 19, 2023 due to complications with colon cancer.
Gail Lorraine Perry-Wilson was born in Wendell, Idaho on June 5, 1947 to parents Fern and Floyd B. Perry. She attended highland high school in Pocatello and graduated class of ‘65. Following graduation, she traveled to California to experience the big city life but soon grew homesick for family and returned to Pocatello.
Gail was all too familiar with a hard days work, giving four decades of her life to LambWeston in American Falls, Idaho. This is where she met former husband Michael C. Wilson and went on to raise a daughter (Mundi G. Wilson).
She had a drive to keep going through the rough and ugly and was fearless as one could be. One in a billion she was. She used to say “when I was younger…” followed by tales of laughable moments with her siblings or just beautiful recollections of times spent with her father. These never disappointed anyone who was lucky enough to listen.
She was remarkably compassionate beyond belief, at one time donating a little more than 100 hand crocheted hats. Crocheting was a hobby of hers, “nothing to it” is what she would say when you asked her how she did it so quickly. This was natural to her, to be so knowledgeable and great at many different things.
She was the teacher of life to many people around her, sharing experience and wisdom to anyone who asked. Comfort and love was what she radiated.
A great many hugs that will be missed, but so thankful for. This world is sore without you, but so grateful for you.
Gail is preceded in death by her mother and father, Fern and Floyd B. Perry; brother, David Perry; and sister, Toni Perry-Reisner.
She is survived by her daughter, Mundi; son, Darin; sister, Sheryl; and grandchildren
