Frederick (Joe) Joseph Urig was born March 20, 1930 in Nampa, Idaho to Frederick Reed and Catherine Walsh Uhrig. He lived in Wendell, Idaho and Bellevue, Idaho for many years where he attended elementary school and he later graduated from Bellevue High School in 1948. He was drafted into the Army in 1951 and served honorably. He was discharged in 1953.
Joe married his sweetheart Elda Clae Eskridge on March 1, 1956. Joe enjoyed sports, fishing, hunting, camping, dancing but most of all being with family and friends.
Joe is survived by his wife Elda Uhrig of Pocatello ID; son Ronald Uhrig of Pocatello, ID; daughter Martha (Albert) Worth of Pocatello, ID; sister Rose(George) Ivie of Heyburn, ID; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son Donald Joseph Uhrig; his parents Frederick Reed and Catherine Walsh Uhrig; his mother and father-in-law Clay and Barbara Eskridge; his brother Alfred Uhrig; sister Margaret Dudley; and brother-in-law Duane Dudley.
