Frank Roger Papse Sr., 93, passed away Monday, January 06, 2014, in Pocatello, Idaho. Frank was born Feb 10, 1920 in Fort Hall, son of Captain and Shehevinga Jackson Papse. He married Bernice Disney Wheeler and together they had 2 Children, Utahana and Frank JR. She preceded him in death March 24, 1976. He later married Adleene Lorraine Jim and they had no children. She later passed away on July 12, 1993. He served in WWII from June 24, 1943 until honorably discharged on November 22, 1945. He served on the Shoshone Bannock Tribal Council in 1967-1968, 1970-1971, 1973-1974, 1974-1975, and 1983-1984 ( 2 times as Chairman),and Sergeant at Arms. He was a traditional Indian Sun Dancer, traditional war dancer, a lifetime rancher and a Christian. Frank liked to play at the casino, keno, rodeos, traveling, hunting, training horses. Survivors include daughter, Utahana Mae Papse Watson, granddaughters, Kathiana Marie Perry and Marilyn Mae Papse, all of Pocatello, Idaho, grandsons, Derrick Tinno, Fort Hall, Idaho, RayJohn, Toby, and Trevor, nephew, Ronald Lloyd Hootchew, niece, Eugenia Nadine Hootchew Martin, great nephews Ronnie Hootchew Jr, Larry Kent Martin.and the numerous children he raised over the years including, Cassandra, Lynette, Anthonette, Taitum, Samantha, Alyssa, and Ralyn. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bernice Disney Wheeler, second wife, Adleene Lorraine Jim, son, Frank Papse JR, brother James Papse and grandson, Kevin Lee Papse, nephews, Roscoe Forest Tissidimit Sr., and Larry Keith Hootchew. Frank will be taken to his home on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 until the time of services. Funeral services will be held at 6 pm at Timbee Hall in Fort Hall on January 8, 2014. Burial will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. on W. Reservation Road. at Cedars Cemetery.
