Frank Darwin Gravatt, 81, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016 in St George, UT. He was born February 3, 1934 in Springfield, Idaho to Frank Charles and LaRena Fairchild Gravatt. He grew up in Springfield, ID. He drove school bus at the age of 14 and worked for the canal company. He graduated from Aberdeen High School where he met Myrna Rae Anderson. They were married June 8, 1956 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Together they raised 5 children in Pocatello while Darwin worked at C Ed Flandro Ford and later at Idaho State University as an auto body instructor. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in bishoprics, high counsel and the scouting program. He loved to travel and meet people. He spent time in Alaska running an RV park during the summers. He also served an LDS mission with his wife in the Des Moines, Iowa Mission. He is survived by his wife, Myrna; five children, Layne Gravatt (Charlotte), Shelley, Idaho, Jill Burns (Doug) Ivins, Utah, Eric Gravatt (Laurie), Ammon, Idaho, Troy Gravatt, Jackpot, Nevada and Jeanine Wilson (Craig) Allen, Texas; 25 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Curtis (Ken), and Farice Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and LaRena Gravatt; two sisters, Joann and Lamarra; and one brother, Charles. Services will be on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 11 am at the LDS church, 1433 Gwen Dr. Pocatello, Idaho 83204 with a viewing for one hour prior. Visitation will be on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83201, 208-233-1500. Burial will follow at the Aberdeen Cemetery.
