Fran Fisher

POCATELLO - Frances "Fran" H Fisher, 73, of Pocatello, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012, peacefully at Caring Hearts Assisted Living. She was born on February 23, 1939, in Rexburg, ID, to Hugh and Renee Robison. She was raised in Idaho Falls and attended Idaho Falls High School. She also attended Utah State University in Logan, Ut. Fran worked in retail at Blocks Department Store, Bon Marche, and Macy's in Pocatello, specializing in cosmetics. She had a loyal following of customers requesting her expertise. She was a member of Zonta and ABWA for many years. Fran held various leadership positions in both organizations. She was honored as Business Woman of the Year. Fran married R. Brent Pond, and together they had 3 children: Richard, Janet, and Susan. After Fran and Brent parted ways, she married Leon G. Fisher where she added step-daughter Cindy to the mix. They enjoyed many years of entertaining in Island Park at their cabin. Leon passed away 16 years ago. She is survived by her son Richard Pond of St. George, UT; daughter Janet (Robert Collins) Hughes of Pocatello; daughter Susan (James) Ryan of Pocatello; step-daughter Cindy (Tom) Hepworth of Pocatello; sister Elaine (Mick) Ohman of Idaho Falls; sister Jane (Brad) Erwin of Sandy, UT; brother Jack (Dianne) Robison of Pocatello; grandchildren Amber, Zachary, Annette, Rachel, and Eric; and several nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leon, her brother Hugh Robison, and her nephew Michael Robison. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Alliance Home Health and Hospice.
