Florence Twila Seamons

Devoted wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, Florence Twila Seamons, 85, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in Pocatello, Idaho with her daughter by her side.

Mom was born in Dayton, Idaho to Florence May Crossman Daley and Ralph Otto Daley on May 5, 1939. She attended schools in Weston, Idaho and graduated from Westside High School. Twila married Delbert Jepsen “Bud” Seamons on February 8, 1957, in Preston, Idaho. They were later sealed for time and eternity on March 27, 1971, in the Idaho Falls, Idaho temple. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served several positions in the church, as well as a 1-year mission with her sweetheart at the Bishops Storehouse in Pocatello. Mom and Dad loved working with their good friends, Paul and Kathy Stubbs for D&J Auto Recovery. She loved to bake, cook, can, embroider, square dance, and sing, but her greatest joy was her family.

Mom was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Delbert Jepsen “Bud” Seamons; her parents, Ralph Otto Daley and Florence May Crossman Daley; In-Laws, Delbert Bennett Seamons and Elsie Lucille Jepsen Seamons; her brothers, Searle Daley, Jerry Daley, Rulon Daley, and Arlen Daley, Rodney Jensen, Don Hansen and Blair Seamons; sisters, Janet Seamons, Monta Daley and Bertha Daley; son-in-law, John R. Taylor; granddaughter, Tessa Jo Stanger; and great grandson, Cooper McCoy Moses.

She is survived by two sons, Jim M. (Lorrie) Seamons of Weston, Idaho and Seth D. (Lorinda) Seamons of New Plymouth, Idaho; daughter, Joni (Dennis) Anderson of Pocatello, Idaho; brothers, Ernest (Judy) Daley of Preston, Idaho, Leo (Beverly) Daley of Weston, Idaho, Scott (Cathy) Seamons of Mink Creek, Idaho; sisters, LaVon (Dell) Funk of Ogden, Utah, Viola (David) Hoadley of Pocatello, Idaho, Virginia Seamons Jensen Hansen of Preston, Idaho; twelve grandchildren, Gina (Chris) Tripp, Kimi (Brandon) Lowe, Trisha (Dustin) Smith, Tad (Sheena) Seamons, Tyler (Nicole) Seamons, Mandy (Cliff) Gann, Jessica (Bryan) Moses, Kendon (Valorie) Seamons, Jake (Isabel) Johnson, Tara Jo (Ethan) Browning, Shawn (Nicole) Stanger, Christopher (Katie) Taylor, Stephanie (Jake) Taylor; 48 great grandchildren, with another great grandson due in February 2025; three great great grandchildren, and 2 additional great great grandchildren on the way with one due in February 2025 and one due in May 2025.

The family would like to thank Jim and Chris Auger, Merlin Hansen, the Cedar Ward Relief Society, neighborhood neighbors, and Daryl and Kathleen Fulmer, Dr. Brandon Michelsen, Symbii Home Health and Hospice and their employees, Matt Smitheram, Physical Therapist, Angie Saiz RN Case Manager, Dr. Jordan Bailey, Breanna Blanchard CNA, Chaplain Joe Ward and Social Worker Stefney Layton for their care, compassion and service.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 954 E Walnut, Pocatello, ID.  Viewings will be from 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday January 10, 2025 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID and prior to the service on Saturday at the church, beginning at 10:00 am.  Burial will follow at the Mink Creek Cemetery, 7057 E. Mink Creek Road, Preston, ID.
