Flora Pooengerah

Flora Dean Pooengerah, 60, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at a medical center in Utah. Flora was born to Charles and Rita (Ponzo) Pooengerah in Pocatello, Idaho on September 11, 1956. She attended school in Tyhee Elementary, Hawthorne Jr. High and graduated from Highland High School in 1975. Jobs throughout her life included Potato Harvest, Fort Hall Corrections as a Jailor/Dispatcher and most recently as a Casino security Guard. Floras hobbies were Basketball, Horse Relay Rider, Bead working, outdoor activities, traveling, as well as traditional activities. She enjoyed her grandkids and being with family & friends in whom will miss her dearly. Flora is survived by her children, Shane and Aleta Avis Pooengerah; sisters, Sevina Rose and Christine Pooengerah; grandchildren, Kamyah, Samuel Pooengerah, Dominique Farmer, Charles Pooengerah. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rita & Charles; grandparents, Henry Ponzo and Olive Hope Tinno; great grandparents, Pooengerah & Hangawitzee; a sister, Patsy Pooengerah; brothers, Herman and Marvin Tissidimit, and Telford Pooengerah; nephews, Bryon Tissidimit and Gary Farmer, Jr. as wall as many other family members. Tent visitation will take place at the Buffalo Lodge on Lodge Rd., Fort Hall, ID, from Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 12 Noon through Monday, December 26, 2016 at 2 pm. Flora will then be taken to the Cedars Cemetery for burial. Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID, is caring for Floras family.
