Fern Hazel Cox, 92, of Pocatello, Idaho passed away on June 5th 2024 in Blackfoot, Idaho.
She was born in Claremont, New Hampshire on December 10th 1931, the 8th of 10 children, to Worth Lyman Cox and Eva Louise Macie and raised in Unity, New Hampshire. She was married and divorced three times but prefers her maiden name.
Fern graduated from high school in Claremont, New Hampshire.
She had certificates as a Psychiatric Tech and a Medical Assistant. She worked for and retired from the state of Vermont.
She was very dedicated to her family and loved to do everything that she could for them. She was fiercely independent and had a hard time letting others do for her.
Fern was preceeded in death by her parents, siblings, and son Dana Edward Spicer, Jr.
She is survived by her sons Peter Macie Spicer (Shauna) currently of Pocatello, Idaho and Mark Evan Spicer currently of Richmond, Kentucky. She is also survived by nine grandchildren Peter James Spicer (Jenn), Kristen Brynn Watts (Danny), Jason Tyrell Spicer (Mikelle), Stephanie Lynn Spicer, Danielle Pinkham Spicer, Kelsey Jordan Spicer, Tyler Evan Spicer, Austin David Spicer (Kamiah), Justin Evan Spicer, and bonus grandson Roman Michael Adams and nine great grandchildren.
Fern had a very strong testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was not afraid to share her testimony. She was non-judgmental and liked to be able to have friends and family of all faiths and beliefs. She was able to bear her testimony and give parting words of advice, encouragement and love to all who were able to visit or call during her last few days.
She can now see and hear perfectly and is out of pain and is moving again.
She will be missed.

Fern requested that there be no funeral, therefore there will only be a small family viewing before we go up to the cemetery and have a prayer and dedication of the grave before internment at the Firth Cemetery in Firth, Idaho.
