Faye spent most her childhood in Mantua, Utah. At the age of 7, Faye's mother passed away due to complications during childbirth. Her Father then married her Mother's sister, Aunt Ruth, who then raised her. Faye attended school in Brigham City where she graduated from Box Eder High School in 1944.

On Dec, 30, 1946 she married her childhood sweet heart, Arden Hansen, in the LDS Logan Temple. They made their home in Mantua for about 4 years where they began their family. Their first born daughter was still born. This was a very hard time for her and Arden. They were then blessed with a daughter, Saundra and a son, Van. They made their way for a short time to Center, Colorado and then to Everett, Washington, where their son Nolan was born. They then moved to Tyhee, Idaho where they built there home on Hawthorne Rd and lived and raised their family. After Arden retired from the Fort Hall Agency, they began Full time farming. Faye was a regular cattle hand and did much to help in the farm. She helped in the harvest of crops and was always available when needed. She was a very devoted wife to Arden. Faye enjoyed working. She worked at Skaggs for several years and at Hatch's Hallmark. She was very happy at her jobs and enjoyed working with people.

Faye and Arden enjoyed many trips with friends. They enjoyed being retired and had some fun trips with family as well, including a Disneyland trip in a motor home with the family.

On July 2, 2015, her husband and lifelong friend passed away after 69 years of marriage. She has missed him dearly. She is enjoying a happy reunion with family on the other side of the veil.

Faye was an excellent cook and famous for her chocolate chip cookies and homemade chicken noodle soup. She gathered her family often for the Holidays and created many lasting memories in all her children and grandchildren. There were many wonderful Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas memories created by her.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings including Counselor in the Relief Society, Primary Teacher, Relief Society Teacher, Visiting Teacher and Compassionate Service Leader. She was very devoted in her callings and always went the extra mile.

Faye had many hobbies. She enjoyed crocheting, baking and cooking, decorating, keeping journals, yard work (especially planting flowers), walking and biking with her friends, white water rafting with the "float crew", ceramics, making cards, camping, and recently, coloring.
