Ezekiel Shay

Ezekiel Tony Shay, 53, passed away on Tues. Feb. 4, 2014. He was born on July 20, 1960 in Pocatello, Idaho to Elnathan T. Shay and Mary L. Neaman Shay. He lived in the Arbon Valley area, better known as Bannock Creek, for most of his life. He attended schools in American Falls, Idaho. Ezekiel was married to Georgina Tesheep and their marriage ended in divorce after a year. Ezekiel worked for Farmers and Ranchers doing various labor work and training horses. He was a member of the Native American Church. Ezekiel had a passion for braiding horse halters and working with cattle and horses. He enjoyed watching Western movies as well as listening to country music. He also enjoyed spending time with his close family members and friends. Ezekiel is survived by one sister, Ferdinanda Shay, Lame Deer, Montana; one nephew, Ronald A. Steady, Pocatello, Idaho. "Zeke" was raised with first cousins, Georgelene Wesaw Begay, Rosalind "Roy" Wesaw Niedo, Avery Wesaw and, Rebecca Neaman; uncles, Melvin Neaman, Leo Neaman Sr. and aunt, Madeline (Roy) Stratton. He is also survived by numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Elnathan "Andy" Shay; his mother, Mary Louise Neaman Shay; his maternal grandfather, Foster Neaman; his maternal grandmother, Effie Hardy Neaman; his paternal grandfather Jack Shay; his paternal grandmother, Lillian Wahtomy; and uncles, Louis Neaman, Samuel Neaman, Wilford Neaman; one aunt, Lola Geneva Neaman; cousin, Rosarena Wesaw; Nephew, Wyatt Wesaw. There will be a Tee Pee visitation at 1 pm on Thursday, February 6, 2014, through Saturday, February 8, 2014, until 1:30 pm at the Neaman family residence, 11 miles South on Arbon Valley Road. Tee Pee will be on the left. Burial services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at 2 pm at the Bannock Creek Cemetery.
