POCATELLO-Everett Romjue, 85, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2011 at a local hospital, of natural causes. Everett was born in Wilsonville, Nebraska on May 29, 1926, to Omar and Minnie Romjue. The family moved to Caldwell, ID in 1935, later moving to Twin Falls, ID where he joined the Navy in February of 1944. Upon discharge he returned to Twin Falls, ID and married Shirley Thomas on April 13, 1947. He worked for Wilson Bates until 1952, then went to work for Stepkins Auto Parts. In 1964 they moved to Pocatello where he worked for Electric Service as a parts store manager until 1977, then to Muffler Warehouse as counter parts manager. He retired at the age of 80. He enjoyed his family, yard work, fishing and playing cards. His work ethic, sense of humor and ability to love and accept people like family were some of his most remarkable traits. Everett was loved greatly and will be missed by all. Everett was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, his infant son Tommy and his brother Wayne. He is survived by his daughters, Sue Ann Quinton of Green River, WY , Gayla ( Jerry ) McCarthy of Pocatello, ID; sons, Roger Romjue of Portland, OR, Jay Romjue of Caldwell, ID; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Graveside services for Everett will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 2296 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho With Military Honors performed by the Magic Valley Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 South 4th Avenue on Sunday, July 17, 2011 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M.
