Ethel Robinson Swanson

Ethel Swanson died peacefully at home, surrounded by family, August 16, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Rd. Interment will follow the service at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. 

She was born April 12, 1937 to parents Lorin Robinson and Sybil Bybee in Long Beach, California. She excelled in high school softball as a center fielder. She was team captain and most valuable player. 

In 1957 she married Darold Jack Swanson and raised 5 children while living in Pocatello for the last 60 years. Marie Becker (Mike), Mike (Ann Wilding), Larry, Bruce (Eli Gazanini) and Ray (Lisa Davis). Next to her family, her passion for 40 years was playing music with her steel guitar, in bands around Pocatello and The Lava Senior Center. One band was Cross Country.

Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She is survived by one brother Del Robinson (JoAnn Potter) and one sister Lorna Baker (James), five children, 17 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
