Erik N. Romero

Erik N. Romero, 51, passed away on March 9, 2023, in Pocatello, Idaho. He was born to Mirna Felix and Noe Romero on October 13, 1971 in Maripita, Sinaloa, Estado of Sinaloa, Mexico. Erik was proud to be from Mexico! Erik learned to be responsible and hard working at a young age, and worked to ensure that his family and siblings would be taken care of. He had the biggest heart and was always helping and taking care of others.

Erik and Lilia met on a blind date in 2000 and it was love at first sight! They then married on November 24, 2003 in Pocatello, Idaho.

He loved taking his kids for drives when they were young, and even took them to Lagoon every chance he had. Erik was the best cook and expressed love in every dish. He enjoyed being outside, much like his son Keanu. He liked to go for walks in the park and spend time out in the garden when the sun was shining.

Erik’s kids always knew how blessed they were to have such loving parents that adored spending time with them. They were proud of him, and he was proud of them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mirna Felix and Noe Romero, as well as his son, Keanu Lucio.

Erik is survived by his wife, Lilia Romero; daughters Cheyenne Lucio and Tyra Lucio; son-in-law Deven Smith; daughter-in-law Danyell Lucio; grandsons Jadrian Smith, Jonah Lucio, and Jameson Lucio; brothers Loby (Norma) Romero and Carlos Romero; sisters Yani Romero, Imelda Romero and Paula Romero; and God-Son Jesus Romero.

His family would like to express gratitude to all their friends and family for helping put Erik to rest. He will be missed!

A viewing will be held in his honor on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, Idaho.
