Emilio Garcia Castillo

May 22, 1992 — June 28, 2024

Emmett

Emilio G. Castillo, 32, of Pocatello, Idaho returned to his heavenly home on Friday June 28, 2024. He was born on May 22, 1992, to Jesus and Maria Castillo. He was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho but moved to Emmett, Idaho in 2020 to start a life with his wife Lauren. In 2010 he graduated from Century High School.

Emilio was a big time football fanatic. His love for football started when he became involved during his Freshman year at Century High School. He always shared how he played a game at the same school that Napoleon Dynamite was filmed (Preston, ID) and whooped Preston’s butt. His favorite team was the Los Angeles Chargers. Emilio was a collector of guns. He was always informing and educating himself about the latest and newest gadgets that he had. In his free time he liked to go shooting and took his kids to teach them proper gun safety. Emilio loved the outdoors. You’d often see him out picking berries; cherries, blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries. He loved camping, fishing, and just going on walks. The only thing that mattered most was that he was with his family and children. He loved his family so much and spent any opportunity he could with them. You sometimes found him in the living room dancing and singing with his wife and children because Dad was going to take them to a Mexican dance and they needed to learn. Emilio was a social butterfly. Any encounter he had with someone was an instant friendship. He was such a considerate person and was always willing to help anyone and everyone. His favorite food was tacos de lengua; no beans. His love for food came from reminiscing about family get-togethers. He always carried his extended family close to his heart and when he visited them he knew it was always going to be a good time; a time full of love, laughter, and lots of food.

Emilio left so many memories behind and we will always cherish and remember them. He is survived by his wife Lauren Reuarin; children Isabella Mills and Ezekiel Castillo; parents Jesus and Maria Castillo; brothers, Raymond Garcia and Rudy (Maddie) Castillo; nephews and nieces, LyricAnn Garcia, Memphis Garcia, Angel Ray Garcia, and Blakely Castillo along with numerous family members from the Garcia and Castillo side that he loved so much. He also leaves behind many friends and best friends that he loved and talked about all the time.
