Eleanor Ann Pratt Elliott, age 71, passed away peacefully in her home on February 12, 2015 in Aberdeen, ID after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family. Eleanor was second of four children born on November 5, 1943 in American Falls, Idaho to Leslie and Martha Pratt. She married Larry Elliott on January 27, 1966 in the Idaho Falls Temple. She graduated from Aberdeen High School and from BYU, Cum Laude in Home Economics Education of which her family was very appreciative of her amazing cooking skills. Eleanors life was filled with loving service to her family and friends. She was an active member of the LDS church serving in a variety of callings and spending many countless hours as a temple worker in the Idaho Falls Temple. Born into the world at 3 pounds, Eleanor began a life of determination and strong will. She grew up on a farm and was raised to work hard by her parents. Her boy cousins were her best friends and came to her home from town almost every day to play Cowboys and Indians. Her mom would buy her pretty dolls which never held any interest to her. She was taught to play baseball by her Uncle Eddy who would play with her every lunch hour. Teaching her how to throw, catch and hit a ball. This love of baseball carried through all of her life. She played Rover or second base on many softball teams. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Dee (Jim) Crockett. She is survived by her husband of over 49 years, Larry Elliott; older brother, Alan (Rita) Pratt; and younger sister, Melanie (Kent) Reynolds. Her children, Marc (Aimee) Elliott, Kimberli Watt, Jennifer (David) Stewart, Amber (Jeremy) Hawkes; and 20 grandchildren, Steven (Cassi), Joshua (Summer), Jace (Melany), Derek, Kenya, Ethan, Austin, Makenna, Dallon, Gant, Ty, Emily, Kambree, Marshall, Whitney, Mitchell, Brynn, Brooklyn, Spencer, and Lincoln and one great-grandchild, Dekker. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy. Her life was centered on the family and she enjoyed many years of camping, skiing, sledding, playing games, cooking and serving them. She rarely missed an event of her very busy grandchildrens lives. She will be greatly missed.
