Elaine C. Armstrong

TAYLORSVILLE, UT " Elaine Content Anderson Armstrong passed away peacefully on February 22, 2009 at the age of 103 years and 8 months. Elaine was born June 22, 1905 in Union, UT to Andrew C. Anderson and Sarah Ann Russell Anderson. They moved to Idaho in 1910.

Her education was in Cambridge and Downey, ID. In 1929 she married Richard Quintus Armstrong in Pocatello, ID where they made their home for many years, before moving to Great Falls, MT and Grand Junction, CO then back to Pocatello. In 1996 she went to live in Olympia, Washington with a daughter. In 2000 she moved to Utah living in St. George then Taylorsville. She was a great lady and enjoyed cooking, baking (especially fantastic pies), gardening, making quilts, singing, going to the temple, toe tapping music and dancing.

She was preceded in death by; her parents; 13 siblings, her husband (in 1985), and 2 grandchildren.

She is survived by; children, LaMar Armstrong, Pocatello, Connie (Jack) Umphrey, Taylorsville, UT, Eileen (Gilbert) Litchfield, Payson, UT, Terry (Neita) Armstrong, Oceanside, CA; 25 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 31 great-great-grandchildren.
