Edwood L Bullock

June 8, 1942 — September 15, 2012

Edwood L. Bullock, 70, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 15, 2012

Ed was born June 8, 1942, in Murray, Utah, the first of five children born to Woodrow Vance and Lorraine (Meacham) Bullock. He was raised and educated in the Grace and Soda Springs area. He held a State High School track record for the mile for many years. During his high school years, he ran a trap line to raise money to purchase sporting goods. After high school, he attended Idaho State University and completed the welding program. He was then employed by the Union Pacific Railroad in Pocatello, where he retired at the age of 55.
Ed married Nancy Marie Buck in 1962 in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they had three children, Keith, Heather, and John. They were later divorced. He married Peggy Giest, August 15, 1986, and became the loving stepfather to Candice, Christopher and Shawn Gish. Edwood and Peggy enjoyed the next 26 years together.

Ed tried his hand at rodeo in his younger years riding bulls. He loved horses and was involved with his family in chariot racing and flat track. He successfully ran two horses of his own. He also loved to hunt, fish, and camp. Simply put, Ed loved the outdoors.

Ed was very active in the N.W.T.F. (National Wild Turkey Federation) where he served as the President of Southeast Idaho Chapter, as well as the President of the State of Idaho Chapter. He was involved in the planting of over 1,600 trees for additional habitat. He also was instrumental in assisting several young men to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout by sponsoring various tree planting projects.

Ed is survived by his wife, Peggy Bullock, Chubbuck, Idaho; his children, Keith (Jacquie) Bullock, Woodbridge, VA; Heather Bullock, Pocatello, ID; John Bullock, Pocatello, ID; Candice (Steven) Schofield, Bremerton, WA; Christopher (EmaLee) Gish, Whiteman AFB, MO; Shawn Gish, Pocatello, ID; three brothers, Marnel (Sharon) Bullock, Blackfoot, ID; Kirt (JoAnnn) Bullock, Moreland, ID; Kim C.
