Ed Stenson, 82, died peacefully in his home Tuesday, March 6, 2013. At his side were his wife Carol and his beloved dog, Katie. His death was the result of complications from multiple myeloma.

Ed was born in Spokane, Wash. on January 3, 1930, to Iral and Edna Carlile Stenson. He was the youngest of six children. He spent his childhood on a farm near Waverly, Wash. Upon completion of high school, he attended and was graduated from Eastern Washington State University. Following completion of his degree in education, he enlisted in the army and was sent to Japan to serve as a radioman during the Korean conflict.
