Edward Hansen

Edward "Knute" M. Hansen, 78, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at his home in Pocatello, Idaho. Knute was born on September 11, 1938, in Montpellier, Idaho to Albert Lorenzo Hansen and Charlotte Nona Hansen. He held a deep love of the outdoors and enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, hunting, and camping with his family and friends. He had an extra fondness for animals and treated his pets with the greatest care, regarding them as full-fledged members of the family. Knute was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Knute served in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force. He retired from J.R. Simplot Company where he last worked as a crane operator. Knute is survived by his wife, Myrna Hathaway; son, Johnny H. Isaak; grandchildren, Shawn Henry Isaak, Lisa Driscoll, Jennifer McWhirter, Mia Isaak, Beau Edward Hansen, and Mathew Chaffin; great-grandchildren, Koby(16), Drake(14), RaeLee(12), Elizabeth(11), Brielle(8), and Quinn(6). He is also survived by his nephews, Craig Palmer and Todd Palmer; and nieces, Chrissy Neff and Holly Vaughan. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Lee Hansen; son, KC Hansen; and his two sisters, Mary Lundstrom and Carol Palmer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 2 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID, with a visitation for one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, ID 83204.
