Edna Adams

d. June 18, 2010

Edna Anne Adams, 89, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, June 18, 2010 at Hillcrest Haven Convalescent Center in Pocatello, Idaho. Edna was born on January 28, 1921 in Evanston, Wyoming to Bert Carr and Rhoda (Warburton) Hughes. Edna started a lifetime of cooking for several Cafes located in the Idaho, Utah and Wyoming areas. One of her simple pleasures in life was watching older but classical movies, in which she never tired. "Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings." Edna has spent her life collecting friends and antiques'. While she has spent years buying, selling and trading antiques, she has kept her friends dear in her heart. Anyone who passed by Edna and her late husband, Muncie's house on west Benton Street knew of the many yard sales that kept them busy, entertained and mostly gave them an opportunity to meet new friends. One of Edna's philosophies is, she's never met a stranger; they're just friends she doesn't know yet. Another philosophy of hers is, "Tell it like it is." Edna has left a wonderful legacy for her family, and surviving her are her children, Matthew (Linda) Clawson of Chubbuck, Idaho, Angie (Juan) Hernandez Shirley (Denny) Jones all of Pocatello, Idaho and Juanita Kent of Blackfoot, Idaho; sister, Mary Searcy of Evanston, Wyoming; grandchildren, Mark, Kim, Luke, Matt, Pat, Michelle, Sylvia, Mario, David, Juan, Cindy, DeAnn, Cheri, Lae Loni, Stephanie and Travis; 45 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Muncie Adams; ex-husband, Matt Clawson a granddaughter and a grandson. Funeral services for Edna will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 South 4th Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho. The family will receive family and friends prior to the services at the funeral home from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Pocatello, Idaho.
