E.D. "Ed" Sublett, 82, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at a local medical center. He was born to Edgar and Georgia Sublett on December 22, 1933 in Castle/Okemah, Oklahoma. Ed moved to California and worked as a farm laborer, working in the potato sheds as well as cotton gins. He ended his working career working for the City of Bakersfield, California in the street maintenance department, retiring after 30 years of service, moving to Idaho in 2011. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pocatello, Idaho. He enjoyed talking to people, karaoke, dancing, and loved western movies. He is survived by a son, Curt (Susan) Robinette of Bakersfield, California; daughter, Belinda (Rusty) Shull of Pocatello, Idaho; brother, Tommy (Dolores) Sublett of Wasco, California; 5 grandchildren, Shauna Massie of Bakersfield, California, Nick Robinette of South Carolina, Kayla Lopez of Pocatello, Idaho, Michael Thompson also of Bakersfield, California, Stephanie Craven of San Diego, California; numerous great grandchildren; and companion, Sue Roberts of Pocatello, Idaho. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Georgia. A celebration of Eds life will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 4:00 pm at the First Baptist Church located at 408 North Arthur in Pocatello, Idaho.
