On Wednesday, April 6th, our father, brother, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend to all, passed away at the age of 84. Lloyd was born in Malad, Idaho on May 17, 1931, to Ernest Savage Waldron and Anna Lucille Beeton. Lloyd would be the only child born to this union. Lloyd lost his mother and baby sister in childbirth five years later. His childhood was spent in Samaria, Idaho, where his father, grandmother, aunts and uncles would raise him to be the amazing man he became. Lloyd's father remarried when he was eleven. The union blessed our dad with a second mother, Ivy and two siblings. Lloyd graduated from Malad High School in 1949, with honors. He loved sports, especially boxing. At graduation, he was awarded a boxing scholarship.
On November 4, 1949, he married his high school sweetheart, Orpha Hawkins, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Lloyd was a family man; his down time was spent with his wife and family. He enjoyed sports, camping, fishing, hunting, and cutting firewood in Island Park. Lloyd was blessed with an outgoing personality and there would never be a stranger in dad's life. He had the ability to meet a stranger and walk away with a new friend. Lloyd taught by example how a life should be lived. He loved his wife and has missed her every day for eight long months. What a happy reunion he had the day his mortal life was finished. They started their life together in Malad, but moved to Pocatello in 1950, where they raised their 6 children. Lloyd learned the value of honest labor at a young age, as he worked on the family farm; which he incorporated in all aspects of his life. For 41 years, Lloyd was a salesman for Wonder Bread. He took pride in his job, enjoyed his coworkers, who in many ways became his brothers.
Dad was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His belief in God was strong and his prayers were powerful. He held many callings over the years and devoted his life of service to fulfill his mission here on earth. He served as a bishopric member and as a high councilman for many years. His favorite calling was over the special needs Primary. He looked forward to his time spent in service and would share the lessons he learned from the special children he worked with. Lloyd and Orpha served in the Idaho Pocatello North Mission in 1996.
Lloyd is survived by his children, Randal of Inkom; Nancy (Larry) Christensen of McCammon; Steven (April) of Riverside; Jeffrey (Tamera) of Idaho Falls; Michael (Sandra) of Ammon; Karen (Val) Bradley of Logan, Utah; sisters, VaLois and Sherrie; brothers, Lee, Doyle, and Cody. Dad has 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Orpha; his parents, Ernest and Anna; second mother, Ivy; a sister, Colleen; and baby sister, Anna.
We would like to thank his many friends for the love they have shown our father. The family would also like to thank Alliance Hospice, especially Dr. Wise, Mikel, Chastity, Alexandria, Michela, and Cherie for the care, devotion and love they gave dad during his last days with us. We are eternally grateful.

Chubbuck Rd on Sunday evening from 6-8:00PM, and from 10-10:45AM prior to the services at the church. The interment will follow at Malad City Cemetery.
