CHUBBUCK " Edward Landon Barnes, 31, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at a local hospital from injuries sustained in a swimming accident.
Landon was born July 6, 1978 in Pocatello to Ed and Kristy Kaye (Hainline) Barnes. He attended school in Soda Springs through the Sixth Grade and then his family moved to Pocatello where he completed his schooling. He began his career with Les Schwab Tire at the age of 18. He transferred with the company to Seattle, Washington; Santa Rosa, California; and was then able to come to Pocatello. He was the Assistant Manager at the Tire Center in Chubbuck at the time of his death.
Landon loved many activities throughout his life, and they all revolved around family and the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, skiing, the ocean, camping, mountain biking, motorcycles, boating, and anything else that brought out his adventuresome personality. The greatest loves of his life were his wife, Darcy; and his tremendous daughters, Chloe and Tyler. His family was his life, he provided everything they could ever want, and was the most amazing father his girls could ever hope for.
Landon is survived by his wife, Darcy Barnes of Chubbuck; daughters, Chloe (age 11) and Tyler (age 3) of Chubbuck; brother, Chase Cellan of Denver, Colorado; sisters, Mandy (Danny) Kendall of Chubbuck; Stephanie (Ina) Afamasaga of Soda Springs; step-dad, Lonnie Cellan of Inkom and Salmon, Idaho, and grandparents, Joyce Hainline of Lava Hot Springs; and Carl & Anavoe Barnes of Downey, Idaho.
Landon was preceded in death by his parents, Ed Barnes and Kristy Dolechek; his grandfather, Leonard “Frog” Hainline; and other extended family members.
The family asks that no flowers be ordered.
