Dustin Hunter Murdock, 35, passed away from cancer on January 4, 2010, surrounded by family and friends. Dustin was born in Pocatello, Idaho, April 19, 1974, to Don Ezra and Kathleen (Torgesen) Murdock. His life and character were influenced by a heart defect, tricuspid atresia, three chambers in his heart instead of four. Several major heart surgeries, one at six months and one at age nine increased the oxygenation of his body and gave him energy and stamina. His life was spared many times through medical and priesthood intervention. Dr. Veasey and Dr. Doty at Primary Children's Hospital carefully monitored his young life. Dr. Tajik at Mayo monitored the last few years and Dr. Chandra, his heart doctor at the Mayo Clinic, who recently helped him get home to Pocatello, will forever be his friend. He earned his Eagle Scout Badge and attended the International Scout Jamboree in Australia. While in high school he worked as an intern for Ratzlaff Architects and designed his family home on Crestview Road. His senior year he competed with students across the United States for a fellowship to live in Frank Lloyd Wright
