Dovey Nadine Styhl passed away at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living in Idaho Falls, ID on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the age of 96. Dovey was born October 5, 1919 in Dubois, Idaho the daughter of Charles and Ethel Lent. She attended and graduated from Blackfoot High School. As a young woman in Blackfoot, Dovey worked at an ice cream parlor where she met Dewey Styhl. They were married April 7, 1940. Dovey lived in California while Dewey was stationed in the Marine Corp. They later moved to Firth and eventually purchased a new home Pocatello. Dovey was a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping with her family, sewing, gardening, canning, yard work and animals. Dovey is survived by her children, Sharrie Wright (Todd), son-in-law, Gary Miller, Debra Styhl, Carla Voss (John), Stacy Styhl (Sheri); 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Styhl; daughter, Mardean Miller; parents, Charles & Ethel Lent; siblings, Emory Lent, Floyd Lent, Ester Leonardson, and Lynn Lent. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 1pm at the Shelley Senior Citizens Center, 193 W. Pine St. Shelley, ID 83274.
