Douglas Paul Dalton, 61, passed away January 15, 2016 at his mother's home in Pocatello, ID. Doug was born February 24, 1954 in Watertown, South Dakota son of Robert Dalton and Gay Elizabeth Dalton. He graduated from high school in Caldwell Idaho in 1972, and proceeded to develop a career in irrigation systems. He was the founder and owner of Mid-Pacific Irrigation Company in Tyhee, Idaho and serviced farmers all over southeastern Idaho over 40 years. On July 14, 1984, Doug married Sally Bresnahan Shroll in Pocatello, Idaho. They had an automatic family together with his daughter, Nicole from a prior marriage and Sally's son, Rob. Doug had many friends and his favorite past time was hunting elk. He loved boating and waterskiing, snow skiing, golf and horseback riding with his wife, Sally. Doug is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sally; daughter, Nicole (Heath) Hedges, Bruneau, Idaho; son, Rob (Susan) Shroll, Pocatello; 4 grandchildren, Hesston, Hollis, Jacob, Mya; mother, Gay Dalton; and sister, Beth Cone. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Dalton. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11 am at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID with Pastor Scott Sampson officiating. There will be a reception to remember Doug immediately following the service also at Colonial.
