POCATELLO-Douglas Glade Burrup, 41, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at his home with his mother at his side. He was born December 12, 1970 to Glade and Wanda (Shaffer) Burrup of Inkom, Idaho. Doug was raised in Inkom and attended Inkom Elementary, Marsh Valley Junior High and graduated from Marsh Valley High in 1989 After high school Doug worked for Idaho Opal as a jewelry setter and later in life at sears. He has spent the last twelve years living in Pocatello. He enjoyed dogs, cats and horses and the entire family loved horses along with Doug. Doug was a scout growing up, and enjoyed woodworking, camping, snowmobiling, skiing and family reunions. Later in life he loved to spend time with family at family dinners and get-togethers. After his father died, he became the primary caretaker for his mother for the last 19 years. Doug was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Doug is survived by his mother, Wanda Faye Burrup; siblings, Jim (Denise) Burrup of Pocatello, Scott (Teri) Burrup of Inkom, Cindy (John, Deceased) Catmull of Eugene, Oregon, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Glade Earl Burrup; grandparents, Joseph Earl Burrup and Olive Vera Burrup, Daniel Isaac Shaffer and Helen Jessie Shaffer. Funeral Services for Doug will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the LDS Skyline Ward located at 150 Snow Peak Blvd. in Inkom. Friends are invited to visit with the family prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Doug Burrup Memorial Fund, at Ireland Bank.
