Dorothy Mae Duff

Dorothy Mae Duff, 96, passed away in Chubbuck on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. She was born June 28th, 1924 in Lowery, SD, to James & Mina Shewfelt.

She graduated from Plummer, ID, High School in 1942. She worked for the Federal Government in a variety of positions until retirement.

Dorothy married and divorced Dennis Duff. She and her life partner Wanda enjoyed traveling and lived in many places in the West and Southwest. Dorothy eventually moved to Pocatello, ID until her passing.

She was an accomplished artisan in several media, enjoyed photography, sightseeing, family vacations, outdoor sports, none more so than watching her ISU Bengal Women's Basketball team.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, life partner Wanda Bennett, siblings Verna Hunt & James Howard Shewfelt, & grandson Tim Reed. She is survived by sister Blanche Walker, daughters Rita (Bill) Reed & Roxanne (Bob) Merle, grandchildren James Kelly (Mary) Reed, Bill Reed, Jr., Drupatie Naraine, Amanda Merle, and her beloved dog, Sasha.

There will be a small family gathering at a future date. The family wishes to thank the caring, and loving staff @ Grace Assisted Living and Encompass Hospice.
