Dorothy Lenabell Knoblich, 95, passed away Monday, July 3, 2013, at a local healthcare center. Dorothy was born December 13, 1917, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Mons and Harriet Peterson. At the age of three the family moved to Aberdeen, Idaho, where in 1936 Dorothy graduated from Aberdeen High School. She married Elmer Ohman March 1, 1939. Elmer passed away in January, 1979. Dorothy married Bill Knoblich in 1982 and he passed away 3 months later. Dorothy worked at all three bowling centers in Pocatello as an instructor and clerk for 25 years. She made lifelong friends there and always said she enjoyed every minute of it. She bowled many years on Pocatello's "High Five" and was well known for her bowling skills. She was a member of the F.O.E. Auxiliary since 1939 and was a past president three different times. She shared her love of outdoors and her "camping skills" with many friends throughout the years. There was never a dull moment when you went camping with Dorothy! Dorothy loved her family and friends and her church. She was an amazing woman who taught everyone who knew her how to be a better person. Dorothy is survived by her grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and lots of people who considered her family. She was preceded in death by her husbands, two step-daughters Betty Adler and Elma Jean Milkovich, and her brothers Frank, Merriel, and Jerald, and her nephew Monty. We are so grateful that her life touched ours. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow services at Mountain View Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.Colonial-FuneralHome.com.
