POCATELLO - Dorothy Kissel, 83, of McCammon, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2011, at a local care center. She was born on February 19, 1928 to Charles and Mary Lish in Cokeville, Wyoming. She was raised in McCammon and spent most her life in the McCammon and Inkom area. She married William Kissel on March 15, 1947 and together they had four children. Dorothy was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings in the Sunday School, Primary, and Relief Society. Dorothy liked everybody and everyone. Her fingers were always busy. She liked puzzlebooks and reading. One thing was for sure, there was always candy in the house for when the kids came around. She is survived by her son Charles (Linda) Kissel of American Falls; son George "Albert" Kissel of McCammon; daughter Mary Bullock (Allen) Carter of McCammon; daughter Tracy (Tom) Walters of McCammon; 12 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild that is due in December. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Kissel, sister Verda, brother Charles, and son-in-law Dave Bullock. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at the McCammon LDS Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2011, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave in Pocatello, and also one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will follow services at the Inkom Cemetery.
