Dorothy Jean McGhee, 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep June 16, 2019 at home.
Dot was born April 10, 1935, a daughter to Harold Charles and Ethel Elizabeth (Strong) Hunter in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dot married Charles Edward "Ed" McGhee on March 1, 1952 in Wendell, Idaho. They recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary.
Dot worked at AMI for quite a while, and thoroughly enjoyed working there, and forging the friendships with those she was able to work alongside of.
Dot enjoyed spending time with family, working in her flowers and garden. She was always excited when her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren were born.
Dot is survived by her husband, Ed McGhee, of Pocatello; daughters, Patty Lorraine Colvin of Pocatello; Deb Hensley of Pocatello; a sister, Lorraine (Van) Morrison of Pocatello; brother, Randy Dalton of Burley; grandchildren, Nikki (Roger) Frey of Pocatello; Jodi Miller of Pocatello; Kasey Colvin of Pocatello; Bradee (Donnie) Bagwell of Gillette, WY; Blake (Krista) Christensen of Kemmerer, WY; Tyler Hensley of Pocatello; Tori Hensley of Pocatello; 17 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Dot was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ethel Hunter, a daughter, Christine Elizabeth McGhee; a son, Robert Lee McGhee; a grandson, Ryan Charles McGhee; and a granddaughter, Tristin D. Hensley.
Funeral services for Dot will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road. A viewing will be held beginning at Noon prior to the services on Thursday. Her interment will follow the services at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Her family wishes to express their gratitude to Lorraine Morrison, Kasey Colvin, and Tyler Hensley for all their help in caring for Mom whenever she needed it. We also want to thank all the kind people who visited, and helped us from the Pocatello 18th Ward. Our lives have been forever touched and never the same by the special family friend Terry Felsman has always been. Thank you to everyone that has shown kindness to our family, and especially to our wife and mother.
