POCATELLO-Dorothy Clyne, 91, of Pocatello, passed away peacefully July 26, 2009, at a local care facility surrounded by members of her family.
Dorothy Clyne was born January 19, 1918, to John Farr and Mary Ellen LeCheminant in Chester, Idaho. After growing up in Chester, she later graduated from Sugar City High School in 1936, and one year later graduated from Beauty School in 1937.
Dorothy later moved to Pocatello where she met Cliff Strom and they were later married on March 4, 1940. Cliff was killed in World War II. She then married Thomas Clyne on April 20, 1968 and they later moved to Nampa, Idaho. While in Nampa, she worked at Restline Drapery Factory for 15 years and later retired. While still living in Nampa, her husband Thomas passed away in 1987. After the passing of her husband, she moved back to Pocatello, where she worked as a foster grandparent at Roosevelt Center for many years.
Dorothy was a member of the LDS church and a member of the “TOPS” Club for many years. She also loved to sew, quilt, crochet and she loved dolls.

Dorothy is survived by; son, Ret. Col. Roger (Claire) Strom, Hurricane, Utah; daughter, Jan (Gerri) Lunt, Nampa, Idaho; daughter, Penny Peck, Pocatello; daughter, Cindy (Lynn) Radford, Ririe, Idaho; daughter, Kelly (Jim) Davenport, Nampa, Idaho; daughter, Roxane (Troy) Cornell, Pocatello, Idaho; sister, Deon Huntsman, St. Anthony, Idaho and brother, Larry LeCheminant, Canada. Dorothy is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by; her parents, John Farr and Mary Ellen LeCheminant; both of her husbands, Cliff Strom and Thomas Clyne; three brothers, Jack, Gene, and Walter; sister, Grayce and a grandson, Cory.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be held Thursday, July 30, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, with Bishop Robert Fackrell conducting. A viewing will be held from noon to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.wilksfuneralhome.com.
