On March 29, 2021 Dorothy A. Lewis passed peacefully from this life to the next, while surrounded by her loving family.
Dorothy was born May 13th, 1930 in a log cabin at McCammon, Idaho. She was the oldest child of four children born to William Benjaman Rowe and Beatrice Wilna Fisher.
Because her father worked various jobs the family moved back and forth from Idaho to Washington. The schools in Idaho were about 3 months behind Washington so when they went to Washington she had to catch up to the rest of the class. She has always enjoyed school and was able to catch up fairly quick, but the constant back and forth was always trying.
When Dorothy graduated from High School she planned on going to college, but met the love of her life and married Harry (Neil) Lewis on July 16, 1948.
The first five years of their marriage they farmed around the Blackfoot area, while raising their three sons and daughter, They later moved to Pocatello when Harry got a job at FMC. They also increased the size of their family with another daughter and twin boys.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening, reading, crocheting, cooking and spending time with her large family. She enjoyed family outings and many hours at the cabin in Island Park. Harry and her were able to enjoy many trips to places like Hawaii, Mexico, Alaska and California.
Dorothy is survived by four children, Randy (Alice) Lewis, Pocatello; Peggy (Ralph) Johnson, Pocatello; Jacque (Jim) Boyce, Chubbuck, Barry Lewis, Island Park, Idaho; two brothers, Bill Rowe, Phoenix, Arizona, and Jerry Rowe, Coeur d'Alene Idaho, 15 Grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren with another on the way.
